Generally we are not great fans of tribute bands, but we do make an exception for Brit Floyd.
We were fortunate enough to see the Floyd at Earls Court in 1994, (a memory that still makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand to attention). Nothing can possibly replace that memory, but Brit Floyd give it a damn good go.
Most recently, we saw Brit Floyd at the Royal Albert Hall, as part of their Space and Time Continuum World Tour. The set list was superb, with a couple of tracks we had not seen them perform before (I especially liked Young Lust). The light show and movie backdrops were both terrific and, yes, they have the inflatable pig and the glitter ball.
If you have the chance, whether you are a Floyd fan or not, go and see them. You will not be disappointed.
